How much does a family photo session cost in Salt Lake City?
The session fee is $525, which includes planning, the session, your printed keepsake box, and an in home reveal. Artwork is separate, and most families invest between $500 and $2000 in their collection. Some do more, some do less. You'll know the full picture on the intro call before you book anything.

What is an in-home reveal?
Instead of emailing you a gallery link, I come to your home and project your portraits onto your own walls at real size. You see exactly what a piece looks like in your home before anything is printed. Then we design your artwork around your actual home.

Do I get the digital files?
Digital files come with the artwork you order. I don't sell them on their own. My work is making portraits that live on your walls and in your hands, not adding more things to your phone.

Where do sessions happen?
I hand pick a location for each family, timed for the best light of the day. If your home or land means something to your family, we can shoot there instead.

Do you travel to South Jordan, Draper, and Herriman?
Yes. I photograph families across South Jordan, Sandy, Draper, Herriman, Riverton, Lehi, and the whole Greater Salt Lake Valley. Travel within these areas is included.

When should we book for fall family photos?
Fall is my busiest season and golden hour slots fill first. Book by late summer for September and October dates. Spring and early summer sessions have more flexibility.

What should my family wear?
We'll plan it together before your session. As a rule: coordinated, not matching, in colors that fit your home, since that's where the art is going. I'll guide you through all of it.

What if my kids won't cooperate?
Then they'll be in good company. I don't need your kids to perform. Wiggly toddlers and slow-to-warm teenagers are normal, and some of the best portraits come from exactly those kids. My sessions are built around how families actually are.

How long until we see our images?
Your reveal happens a few weeks after your session. We'll set the date before you leave your session, so there's never a mystery about what happens next.

Is there any obligation to buy artwork?
No. The session fee covers the experience, and your keepsake box of prints is yours regardless. At the reveal, you choose only what you love. Nothing is decided until you've seen your images on your walls.

How far in advance should we book?
I take a limited number of families each year, so two to eight weeks out is typical. If you have a date that matters, like a mission farewell or a family reunion, reach out as early as you can.

Do you photograph extended families and grandparents?
Yes. Multi-generation sessions are some of my favorite work. One session, everyone in the frame, and artwork that often ends up in more than one home.
